
MEET JERALINE
Lijeke is currently led by Jeraline, our founder and Senior Psychotherapist, supported by a growing network of specialist therapists. Jeraline is a Senior Integrative Psychotherapist, Accredited Member of the BACP, Clinical Supervisor, and Wellbeing Therapist based in Birmingham, with over 20 years of experience supporting long-term mental health and holistic wellbeing.
Specialising in relationships and trauma, she brings deep clinical expertise alongside a compassionate, culturally informed approach to therapy. Jeraline is also committed to providing inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy in Birmingham, ensuring every client feels safe, seen and supported regardless of their identity or background.
In addition to her role as Clinical Lead at Lijeke, Jeraline is the Founder and Director of a Birmingham-based community counselling service supporting Global Majority and underrepresented communities through inclusive, culturally informed care.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative, blending psychodynamic, person-centred, and intercultural perspectives, rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, inner child psychotherapy, Herman's Trauma Model and relationship coaching. She also incorporates mindfulness practices, energy medicine, sound healing, EMDR Therapy, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming into her work.

MISSION
Lijeke's mission is to provide holistic therapeutic support to individuals and couples in Birmingham and the West Midlands experiencing relationship issues. Our goal is to help them develop the skills and mindset needed to have a healthy and fulfilling relationship with themselves and others.
